'Safe Way To School'
We are currently receiving numerous complaint from teachers and local folk regarding the state of the road surface in Hutchison Crossway. The photographs here illustrate that the surface has now worn through to the last time the street was 'Road Planed' and also showing the hard core below.

The depths of a number of holes in the road are such that it is a danger to cyclists both young and old. We have been inform in July 2008 that despite its poor state the road did not score highly enough to be included in the current Capital Programme. However , a works order has been raised and work will be carried out as resources allow.

We are currently asking the Council Officials and Councillors to raise the prioity of this works order. 

UPDATE 9/10/2008 : We have heard that an inspection team is due visit to evaluate the road for a full repair  soon and that a 'patch repair' will hopefully carried out with the next four weeks.
